Originally built for the Merchant’s Bank of Canada in 1869, this fine historic edifice is now home to the Kincardine Scottish Shop and the Merchant’s Bank B & B and Boardroom! Shelley Henderson (owner) purchased the building and the Kincardine Scottish Shop in 2015 so she could open and expand The Centre for Healing Arts, offering residents and visitors an ever-increasing range of products and services.
This building is set like a jewel in the crown of Kincardine, directly across from Victoria Park which hosts the Monday Market in the Park, Kincardine Summer Music Festival, Kincardine Scottish Festival and the Lighthouse Blues Festival. We are right in the heart of Kincardine within walking distance of fine shops, cafés and restaurants and within view of beautiful Lake Huron, with marina, lighthouse and our Blue Flag-designated Station Beach where you can swim, surf, paddle-board or simply relax. Treat yourself to a spa day, participate in one of the many street parties sponsored by our enthusiastic and energetic BIA or just stroll through our leafy streets, enjoying the gardens, parks and lovely homes.
Enjoy the Saturday evening parades in summer as the Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band departs from Victoria Park for a march down Queen Street to Quinn Plaza; join in on the march back, and partake in some ice cream along the way.
This is definitely the place to BE!!!
